Teach Me, Lord ... To Love

If I speak in the tongues of men and angels,

but have not love,

I am only a resounding gong or a clanging cymbal.

1 Corinthians 13:1

Lord, Grant me wisdom that I might know Your truth.  As I come to know Your wisdom, grant me the ability to teach it with clarity and power.  And Lord, may the truth that I teach transform my students so that they too, might love and worship You as they obey Your Holy Word  Amen.

Great teaching, without love, is empty.  Thus, teachers who seek to leave a lasting legacy must not only love the teaching profession, they must also love the people they teach.

God Bless,

Randi McKee

Handbook Highlight...

Medication

pages 22-23

Schools shall not dispense prescription medication to students except when prescribed by a doctor and provided by the parent.  A designated staff member, either the child's teacher or office personnel, must always dispense this medicine.

Students taking prescribed medication either at home or during school hours must also take this medication when participating in off-campus trips (day trips and overnight trips).

If a child is on medication (either prescription or non-prescription 'over-the- counter' medication) that is administered during school hours or while on off-campus trips, the parent must submit the appropriate Medication Authorization or Non-Prescription Medication Authorization form.  Both forms are available in the School Office.  These forms must be completed and signed by the parent.

Both prescription and non- prescription medications should be brought to the School Office in the original packaging or prescription bottle.  The pharmacist may be instructed to dispense the medication in two bottles; one for home and one for school.

All medicines must be brought to the School Office by the parent.  Students may not carry medicines on their person during the school year and/or school-related functions.  The only exception to this policy is stated in paragraph III. Asthma Medications.
