Scrip -
St. Mary's
School participates in the United Scrip Program for fundraising.
This program allows you to purchase Scrip (gift cards/certificates) for
many of the businesses that you already frequent for your shopping and a
specific percentage of the purchase is returned to St. Mary's.
Scrip is available for retailers, restaurants, gasoline, catalog and
on-line stores. Click on this Scrip
link to go our "Scrip Stepping Stones" information page!
Ebates.com -
A St. Mary's
parent was kind enough to bring this website opportunity to our
attention. www.Ebates.com
lets you shop at home from your computer at over 800 stores. Some of the
stores include Marcy's, Old Navy, Target, Sears, J.C. Penney's,
Wal-Mart, Kohl's, etc. You can purchase anything from flowers to
vacations on this website. Shopping through Ebates you qualify for a
rebate; an extra percentage off of your purchase. For instance, at Old
Navy the rebate is 3% off your total purchase. Every store offers some
sort of rebate (up to 25%). Ebates keeps track of your purchases and
every three months sends a check for the total of your rebates. As the
customer, you can choose where your check goes; if you want to designate
the check to go to St. Mary's School, all you have to do is put in the
school's address to receive your rebate check. The parent who brought
this to our attention stated they have received several checks in the
last three years and has never had a problem. Ebates is offering a new
incentive, if you shop on Tuesdays they will double your rebate!
Ongoing
Fundraising Opportunities
BoxTops
4 Education:
Through our participation in this
program, St. Mary's School has earned funds that have been used to
enhance our technology program as well as provide PE and playground
equipment for our students. This is an ongoing fundraiser. Ziploc
baggies with each student's name are distributed at the beginning of the
school year. Families simply clip Box Tops off of their favorite General
Mills products (Pillsbury, Green Giant, Totino's, Betty Crocker, Fruit
Roll-Ups, Pop-Secret, Hamburger Helper & Cheerios) and return them to
the school daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly or at the end of the school
year. Our dedicated volunteers collect the submitted Box Tops, package
them, and send them to General Mills. St. Mary's School can earn up to
$20,000 per year! Go to their website at
www.boxtops4education.com
to learn more about this program as well as other ways to help make a
difference for our school.
Ingles Tools For Schools
Advantage Card:
Ingles returns to our school a portion of the total sale each time you
shop at their stores. SMS can then use this portion to purchase
computers and school supplies. Ingles requires customers to renew their
enrollment each school year. Applications can be picked up at the School
Office and should be returned to the Customer Service desk at your local
Ingles. You can also link your Advantage Card online by visiting
www.ingles-markets.com.
SMS is registered as St Mary School and our school code is #11771.
Food City Apples for the Students
Program:
St. Mary's School is
participates
in the Food City Apples for the Students Program which begins each year
in late August and runs until March. The
program has changed, and you no longer need to keep up with receipts.
Instead, please take the form that was enclosed with this week's Family
Bulletin to Food City the next time that you shop using your ValuCard,
and let them scan the barcode on the form. This will automatically
connect your ValuCard purchases to St. Mary's School so that each time
you shop for groceries using your ValuCard SMS will receive points. When
the program ends, Mrs. McKee applies the points toward needed
items/supplies. Your ValuCard must be relinked to SMS each August.
Target Take Charge of Education
Program:
Target donates 1% of Target Visa and
Target Guest Card purchases made at Target or at
www.target.com to our school. It
costs you nothing. Simply designate St. Mary's as the school recipient
when applying for your Target card(s) - the 1% donation is automatic
after that!
Office Depot 5% Back to School
Program: The SMS Back to School ID # is
70092911. Please use this number when making purchases at Office Depot.
As the program name suggests, 5% of qualifying purchases are paid back
to SMS. Funds are then used by us to purchase necessary school supplies.
Thanks to this program we just received $437.01 back to SMS. With
these funds we were able to purchase a new computer for our PE teacher,
Mrs. Jenkins. Please continue to support these "free" fundraisers! As
you can see, the money really adds up!
Tyson
Project A+:
For every Tyson
Project A+ label that you save, our school will receive 24 cents.
You can drop off the labels at the School Office or put them in the
BoxTop box located between the two entrance doors to the school.
Kroger:
The Kroger Cares card
is purchased from our Scrip form (Item #10005) for $5.00. Your card is
linked to SMS. The card has a face value of $5.00 until you take it to
the Customer Service Desk of your favorite Kroger store and
"load/charge" it for any amount up to $500.00. SMS benefits from
the cards being "reloaded". Your card does not expire and can be
"reloaded" indefinitely.
K-Mart:
K-Mart gift cards are
available from the Scrip program. The gift cards are available in a $25
(Item #762) denomination. SMS receives 4% of the gift card purchase.
Wal-Mart & Sam's Club:
Wal-Mart and Sam's
Club gift cards are available from the Scrip program. A Wal-Mart card
can be used at Sam's Club. The Wal-Mart gift cards are available in $25
(Item #9890) and $100 (Item #9892) denominations. SMS receives 2% of the
gift card purchase.
